The January-February 2014 issue of the Harvard Business Review has a great article by Roger L. Martin entitled The Big Lie of Strategic Planning.
The title reminded me of the classic book by Henry Mintzberg – The Rise and Fall of Strategic Planning – that was published in the early 1990s. As one might expect, Martin references Mintzberg.
